I work with makers to create solo performances rooted in personal narrative. This practice has grown naturally through many collaborative processes, in which I adapt myself to the needs of the artist and the work. I am, by turns, a sounding board, sparring partner, friend, confidante and creative partner. I hugely enjoy helping artists to develop their work from first concept to final production. My training as a theatre director and experience working on the floor, devising and improvising, make me comfortable moving between conceptual and practical questions.

I love to help artists craft performances that dig deep into what matters to them. The results are often shared with humour, joy, pathos and power.

Having worked with maker Ogutu Muraya since 2016, I am currently the resident dramaturg for Maabara Exchange - a platform and lab for new work, based in Malindi, Kenya.
