 BORDERLANDS FESTIVAL 2017

photography - Filipa Domingues

The Borderlands Festival is a journey through diverse sites of the Cape South - intervening in daily life, stepping into new territories and addressing issues that rise out of our surroundings. Artwork is site specific and responds to local history, lived reality, people's stories and the contested use of public space.  Audience is transported by taxi on a four hour journey - experiencing the Cape South like never before. Although interventions are temporary, the effects are deeply felt. The Festival gives its community an experience that anything is possible.
